Nice work! Love the work you did on this!

I must say I noticed the same thing as dandan - that guy seems to be making weird face.

Awesome!

I love the seamless blend in the background on the first and how you blended the back layers on the second page.

The last page is my favorite.

Great work!

i like the layouts very creative... the only thing i might want to change is the 3 page image that is across what looks like the page fold.... when bound that image may get lost in the fold of the page...

That's amazing...

It's no wonder albums are so expensive,t he time it takes. I'm working on collage type pages to get some practice in, I can't imagine doing something like this. How long did this take? Maybe i this was my sole job be a lot easier than juggling classes and another job.

Those few are fantastic! I'm sure that they will be very pleased with your results. Congratulations!

Taking a look at the rest of the book on your page shows that you have definitely captured enough posed images to really separate your work from any video (unlike what has been stated earlier) and you should be very happy with yourself. I only hope that I could pull off such a nice keepsake for a couples big day :)

Great work! I love the album! The only pic I don't understand is the top left on on spread 8a...it looks like you caught her blinking. Overall though, you did an amazing job of telling the wedding day story through great photos!

I think you did a very good job on these...as well as the other pages in the album on your site...
question - what company do you go through for the books and/or printing of them?

Thanks everyone for your excellent feedback!

Here are some info on my albums:

- There's definately a good reason for why these wedding book cost so much money. Takes forever to design and vendor wants an arm and leg per book.

- I keep it simple. Fancy masking and blending for background images only. I only heavy stroke an image to keep it separated from background. Keep mumber of images per spread down to a minimum.

- I'm using this vendor www.pictobooks.com (http://www.pictobooks.com) (US Made). Their wedding books are amazing. It's an album that need to be seen and held. Quality is top notch. I've seen quite a few albums company out there. To me the quality of pictobooks is way better than Graphistudio. I do like how Graphistudio book comes in a briefcase and it's Italian made. But built quality when comparing side by side is obvious. Ok enough of bashing graphistudio.

- The layout is 11"x11" at 254DPI (recommended by vendor). Each of my album is a one off design. No template. This album was created in Photoshop CS3 straight into high-res. I find that each wedding yeild such different image compositions it's harder to confine them to a template. Final PSD file was approximately 1.6GB.. Each of the 20 Photoshop layers are flattened and save as non-compressed jpegs file before ftp-ing to vendor.

- If working in high-res, a fast machine is a must. I'm running dual quad-core with 32GB ram on Vista 64-bit. Yes I am a designer/photographer and I prefer PC! LOL

Interesting perspective - On 8a she was taking a deep breath and closed her eyes to relax before the walk. ;)
