Neither, "cold" bug; "warm" finger. Nice shots.

Lovely captures Lance - they do like warm hands when cold- can sometimes be hard to get rid of them again :)

yeh i had moved on a bit: see, warm finger + cold bug = warm bug, => active bug, can often = ungrateful bug... when you're talking about a bee anyhow

so i wondered what the outcome was

i dont do that..because after 30 seconds it will fly off.do it at the end..pick it up and place it on a leaf..take 100 shots at all difrent angles..then when your done put it on your finger and it wil fly off.. :D 1st shot is blown out way to much..2nd one is good tho :).

Hi- I'm Brian :)
No fridging- not allowed ! - this is just finding bees either earlyish in the morning or when the sun has gone in suddenly behind some cloud. Bees seem to get cold pretty quickly and can be bought almost to a grinding halt. They will then happily climb onto a warm hand to warm up again.

I have to give you and Brian props for taking sharp pictures with one hand. My setup has to weigh 5 pounds or more with my flash bracket and the flash out on the end...oh, and don't forget a full set of tubes. I need to start lifting weights...
