Hello folks

This is my first question in this forum, but i've been reading for a while now and I sure can tell there is a lot of experienced photographers around here.
Today I'm trying to find an answer to a kind of a situation that bothers me alot !
Recently I bought a Canon 300d, an excelent camera, but just one complain so far, WHY DOES IT TAKE A HUGE AMOUNT OF TIME TO TRANSFER MY PHOTOS TO MY HD ?
Not even the full size quality pictures.. 3mb pics I'm downloading...

50 pics it taks almost 10 min...

100 pics ---> 17min

The other day I filled my CF512mb and it took me more than half and hour to see my pictures on my laptop...

Before my 300d, I had a fuji fine pix S5000, and never took me more than 3, 4 minutes to download my files...

Don't transfer directly from the camera. I think 99% of us on this board use card readers to transfer pictures and it is much faster than directly from the camera. Some others may wish to comment on this but this is what I have done. I transfer a 512 card in about 7-8 minutes with my Sandisk card reader.

I have a Sandisk Card Reader, and I use a 512 Ultra II, and its fast. Dont know how much time exactly, but its fast or I never been worried about time jeje.
Have you try with readers?

Merry Christmas. ;)
