I just bought the 1Ds Mark 2 when i by "accident" went to a german internetshop which, had dropped the price from 8000 Euro (with 1100 Euro) to 6900 Euro.

I went for one.

Rumour is that the 1D mark 2 is having a pricefall soon too - however not as much - to compete the Nikon D2X (12 megapix dslr.)

Nice

The nikon pro sports model DSLR (D2X ?) has just had an *enormous* price drop so maybe canon is easing theirs down too?

And what, pray tell, is SRP? Does that mean if I ordered it from there? Or do I have to go there, in which case the airfare just might erase the potential savings?

I say wait for couple week than your country may have a lot in stock.

@ USD8076 you can get it anywhere in HK.
@ USD7820, I saw one in stock with this price.
@ USD7565, you need to wait 2 to 3 weeks time.

Are you taliking about the D2H which is roughly a one year old model.. with four year old specs?

That poor camera was absolete the day it was released.

SRP usually means Suggested Retail Price. The street price could be up or down from there, typically down.
