So after months of debating, I decided to go with PhotoBiz for my new website. If you have a minute, please check it out and let me know what you like and what you don't.

Amy,
I think it is well done. Good job. It loads quickly for me and looks professional.

I agree, it looks good! I see where you can buy prints, but the site overall seems to focus on the services you offer and the quality and detail you employ in your work so if that's the message you are trying to send, then it's very well done - good luck.

Do you think I should change that to the first image? I had been contemplating it...

I really like the look. The status bar for loading pages is cool and unique.
My only nit is the black flowers getting cut off by the content frame. But that's very minor.

Looks very nice!
Hope I'm not being rude, but I do hate the font of your menu text. It's just... well, horrible :P And imo it doesn't really compliment the font or your name.
Hope you can find any value in my comment :)

The site looks great but I do agree with the font comment. Although I don't hate it I would suggest changing it to something easier on the eyes.
Overall the site looks fantastic! Very professional.

Very nice site, for your target market I think it works very well. I would say that the text for the menus needs to be bigger and more part of the website. Say, putting the text in to the pink at the top rather than seperated by being above and outside of it.
Also the drop down menu text could be bigger but overall really nice.

Thanks Harold, sOid, synapxe, and Mint_Sauce. Unfortunatley with PhotoBiz I don't have a ton of manipulation ability when it comes down the minor details (font, font size, etc).
That being said I am overall very happy with the site. Minus the minor details. And it's a HUGE improvement from the site I had so for now it works!
Thank you all for your input!
Suprisingly enough, no one mentioned my biggest pet peeve about the site. That the text in the menu bar is red instead of pink! I am currently working with PhotoBiz to try and get this changed....

I LOVE your site! My only suggestion is to have an obvious way to mute the sound for those trying to sneak a peek at work. ;)

I like it, my only gripe would be that it is very, sort of girly with the pink. It might feel wierd if I were a senior boy and my pictures were posted on a pink website. This is just my opinion, but overall the site is very nice.

Hey amy, just had a look at your site :)
very nice indeed, ive been looking for something like this and it seems like a great solution, do you have your own domain? or did they set up the "amykillan.com" for you?

I like your site and images very much. You look to be very competent and that show right away. The speed is good but I agree about the pink that it might be a put off for a guy. I would also rather not see that design between images.

There is a misspelling on the pricing page, under session fees. You type "o", instead of "or".
Also, viewing in Mac Safari web browser, the scroll bars don't work with a scroll wheel mouse. I have to click the bar and drag it down to scroll. Not a big deal, just a convenience thing! Not sure if it works in other browsers.
Looks very professional!

Great website, love the colors. Was easy to get around. Beautiful photos. Question: I am currently looking for a webhosting company wondered if PhotoBiz was easy to work with and if it was a somewhat painless/seamless process. Thanks.

First let me apologize as I didn't realize this thread was "alive" again. I haven't checked my User CP lately bc I haven't posted lately. Sorry!
Thank you all for the kind words! I am glad that it looks and feels professional as that was, of course, my goal. And as for the black and pink, that's my brand, however girly it may be. Women are 9 times out of 10 the ones who book photo sessions and also usually the ones who make the buying decision. So I cater to them! But I appreciate the input from a male perspective.

I already had the domain. But they can set one up for you if you don't.

Unfortunatley I don't have control over the design in between. And on a fast connection you don't see it at all. At home I never see it, at work I get to look at it way too much. ;)

Thanks for noticing the typo! I'll fix it asap! I'm pretty sure the scroll bars don't scroll with the mouse on any browser. Ah well. Another detail I can't manipulate. All in all though, it's the best solution for me!
Thanks for pointing it out though. And for taking the time to comment. :)

Thank you! So far I have been very pleased with PhotoBiz. Their customer service is very easy to get ahold of and they are very knowledgeable and pleasant. I was calling every other hour when I was setting it up so I feel like I know them well! But again, I am comparing this to Photoreflect who has HORRIBLE customer service so.....
As far as setup, I thought it was VERY easy. I'm not the most tech savvy person. I don't know html or any of that fancy stuff. I set the entire thing set up myself in about a day, working off and on. The hardest thing was picking the photos for my portfolio. If you have any other questions, please feel free to PM. I'm happy to help. :D

kill the music! I was watching the movie in another window, and music was annoying I couldn't find the turn off music button and quit instantly.
amazing photography and pretty good flash thing.

Thanks for the input. I've been debating the music back and forth. When I ask people about it, they seem to either LOVE it or HATE it. There is a "music off" button in the bottom right hand corner but obviously it must be hard to locate. I may remove the music all together. We'll see...
Thanks again for commenting everyone! I appreciate it!:)
