Im making a Photography book basically, for my cat who just died . Ive got tons of great pictures and I have the printing and binding taken care of, but I'd like to print it on 12 x 12 or someting larger than an 8 by.

The type of paper I had in mind was Calendar Paper, or Photograpy paper like the photography books youd buy at Borders or Barnes & Noble, you know? Is it matte or luster double sided, glossy card stock or what?? And where can I buy it in stock?

Thanks :)

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I know first hand how difficult it can be and I think the book is a great idea. Have you thought about having a service such as Mpix, and there are many others, print the book for you? There are also companies that specialize in books. You would design it along with captions. You may find that the cost is cheaper by doing this when you consider, ink, paper and other materials. The printing quality will aslo be superior to what an ink jet can do.

Blurb.com seems amazing.

So basically its double sided photography book/calender-esque type paper and you can design everything per say in Photoshop and just make it a jpeg and place it however youd like in their software? Then order it and it comes in perfect color and everything??

Any experiences?

Mpix is a good one for making simple little memory books, and you can print them up in no time flat. They offer metallic paper, luster, matte, it's pretty cool. A book can be had from them for under $50.00.
