S230 Hack for longer avi time

Has anyone actually been successful with the hack That was posted on this forum a while back that let the s230 record longer avi times? I would like try it on mine, but I do not understand the directions that were given . I was hoping to have someone set it up for me . Any help would be great . Thanks much, Raymo

I just did this hack and yes it works very well. It is very easy to do, especially since they provide the MD5 sums so you check if you did it right before uploading. I dont know why Canon doesn't make this an official firmware update.
