Hallo, I am trying out a new monitor, still trying to get it calibrated properly but I think I'm close. Please critique this image and in particular, how are the colors?

To me it looks ok, just perhaps slightly blue/magenta. Could be a WB error, too. I use Eizo F78 at 7000K.
Visual calibration, if you want to do it so, should be done with custom WB, extremely variable subjects on controlled environment and exposure. You could see if http://www.ashtonlamont.co.uk/tech-resources/photodisc/photodisc-v2.htm will help, too.

Thanks Pekka, and I agree. I've had a little time to get it calibrated closer and now it does look a little blue. Now I can also see a little horizontal banding n a place or two, didn't notice that on my other monitor either..

If it is a Sony monitor or using Sony tube it is normal that it has two horizontal bands on the screen.
