Depends on what you want to acheive and what other gear you are using it with.

You can't go wrong with that 50mm 1.8 for the price. You'll get hooked on the speed though and you'll want all your lens that fast. 550EX is a good flash but if you using that 20D you might want to look at that new E-TTL II stuff but I don't have any experience with that particular Sigma flash.

Take a look at the OmniBounce (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=89908&is=REG) too maybe when your order you 550EX. I pretty much have this on all the time to defuse some of the light and works well to direct some light forward when you have it pointed straight up to bounce off the ceiling.

Here is a sample I did about a year and a half ago when I first got the 550 to compare it to the onboard flash and bouncing the 550 off a ceiling. Look forward to having everything well lit and not dark backgrounds. I think it also makes the photo less "flat".

Yup got one of those also, thing that makes me upset is B&H only lets u use 3 gift cards per order.... i had 4 so i used 250 for the flash then 25 for the omni bounce and batterys so i had to front 60 but all in all i only had to pay abouyt 10 bucks mmore then if they let me use 4 gift cards per order no big deal i geuss.. Yea very nice example its not a "offical" one but show the diff in real life situation wonder how it would compared if u did it on the same object with the 2 dif flashes... like jsut setting it up on a tripod and use the 2 diff flashes all same setting u can tell a big diffrence between your 2 examples thow im pretty excited...
