Hey, folks.

I've been here in Seattle visiting my cousin for the holidays for the past couple of days now, and other than the fog, it seems like a nice enough place. Did some of the usual touristy stuff (Space Needle, Sci-Fi museum, EMP, Pike Place, etc), but I've got a full day on the 27th to go around the city with some friends and shoot.

Any suggestions for stuff to see/shoot in the city? I wanted to make day trips to Snoqualmie Falls and Vancouver, but we won't have time for anything out of the area.

I'd visit the waterfront and Market areas.

I should be able to tell you, I've been in the area for the last 5 years, but all I ever see is trees, lol. I've been asking some people at work and they say there is a Sunset park I should check out in Seattle. I've never had a chance to get there. The Woodlen Park Zoo always has some interesting things.

Why not visiting some of the Pacific Northwest greatest gifts like, Mt. Rainier, Olympic National Park....even Mt. Saint Helen within 3 hour drive time.

I would get on the highway and head towards Stevens Pass Ski Resort. On highway 2 there is some impressive waterfalls, rivers and moutain terrain....absolutely beautiful! If you are lucky, you may be able to continue into Leavenworth.....after you take that trip you won't be dissapointed.

Just an update, I'm posting from my cousin's a few hours before my flight back home to Virginia. Didn't make it out of Seattle, but I did spend about 3 or 4 hours at the new Central Library downtown, I killed a 1 GB card in the process. RAW conversion should give me something to do on the plane into Dallas tomorrow. :)

I haven't seen it myself, but looks like you could create allot of abstract photos from all that new architecture.
