what makes you think that's the only "pro" out there that doesn't know any of that stuff.
and guess what, modern cameras can take all the guess work out of taking photos.

Seems just about everything at that website is a joke, so I'd take it with a grain of salt.

It is sad when the intelligence built into the camera is greater than that of the photographer. Imaging the waste, for example, in buying a 40D and NEVER turning it off the green box. But I know of people who have done just that.

The all american rejects did a music video with little tings like that called dirty little secret. The was alot more believable and better back then.

But isn't that what the camera companies put the auto setting there for? Then what they want is for that person to get more interested in what all of those other settings are and buy a lens or 2 for it. It's a vicious cycle.:D:D

Refer you all to theory of Relativity...

Why? Do you have a camera with a shutter speed fast enough to capture relativistic effects?
Or do you just shoot relatives?

"Professional photographer" only means he makes money taking pictures. It does NOT mean he is any good at it or knows what the hell he is doing.

No no no. This was the subject of an intense thread one or two years back and I thinks the final conclusion was: Pros are some lucky bunch of people that have a very unique attitude:)

Besides, they have a picture of a Nikon. How can they call themselves professionals and use Nikon?:D

Maybe they have such great composition and creative vision skills that all that technical stuff just isn't that important.

Not at all. They got quite a bit of press a year or two back. It's an art project, in the very modern "performance art" sense. People are encouraged to write unrevealed secrets on postcards and mail them in. I believe that reporters have tracked down some of the originators, and they really are unveiling their souls.
Oddly (or perhaps not), today I was shooting my daughter's school awards ceremony and thinking about bad my pictures were going to come out despite the fact that I probably had the second-best kit there. A person with vision, shooting on "green box", might have dug up some good stuff even though a few of the exposures might have been off.
Who would you rather have taking your portrait: me, who can explain f-stops and ISO at the photon level but has no eye, or somebody who has an instinctive understanding of beauty and is lucky enough to have equipment that can capture what he imagines?
