Prairie dog at Oak Hammock Marsh, Manitoba...
An easy wildlife subject when your longest lens is 200mm.

You captured a cute critter that is responsible for the plague in Colorado. We shoot them here with 2 barrels!

I used to have three of them as pets. Terribly smelly and chewed on everything, but they had their moments.

nice shot.

Man, you seriously needed to trim their nails!

It's funny, they are a pest out west and I used to breed them and get $150 each for the pups.

Haha, I had one as a pet for a few seconds... until it bit me and I threw it at the ground.

What? I was four. :D

Nice portrait.

Thanks for comments, he was certainly curious. Oak Hammock Marsh is a fairly major tourist attraction, and their are probably a few hundred of these guys living in a couple large hillsides.

The hills are right beside the major path that takes you deep into the marsh. The second anyone walks by, up pops a bunch of heads looking for a free handout. Pretty comical...
