Hi All

Living nearby to Brooklands I chanced going on Saturday ~ could not face trying Biggin Hill. In some aspects Brooklands was a disappointment but I did get to see static aero engines running including all four turbo props and an old cargo carrier but here are some quick & rough edits.

An aero engined car - this is a Napier Bentley i.e. as I understand it a Napier W12 24litre Napier Lion engine in a Bentley chassis. I took a few burst sequences of the exhaust to get a few with the flames and this is one of the better ones (taken standing about 12 feet away)? The other is of it being driven in its element on track and boy was he giving it the welly and smokin' around the curve.

The others are the Mk1 Hurricane and I think the P51 Mustang ~ both of whom I surmise paid us a visit having already been at Biggin.

Nuff said >>>>>> oh as anyone who knows Brooklands the flight line and late time of day makes for awefull conditions if it is sunny.

Must have a longer look at the whole 'set' but here is one extra for now.

Too bad about the fence. Nice prop blur in #4.

Thanks for the feedback. The P51 Mustang was really pushing the flight line 'envelope' at one point he almost came over the spectator line ~ you could see and hear him pulling a tighter turn.

Re the fence - I have expressed my disappointment to someone in the organisation who she has passed my feedback (other comments made as well) to the appropriate folk. But the test track used is owned by Mercedes Benz World and no doubt there are limits to what could happen at future events???
