Well, here are my humble entries amongst all the fantastic photos of the airfest 2008. These are all straight from the camera. I am really happy with the performance of the 40d. I will post more later of the other performers at the airshow (need to clear disk space).:D

Very nice, I tried to see what settings you guys all used but none have exif data in them and am curious what others used compared to mine

Yes, It turned out to be a great show. I was concerned while sitting in the monsoon that they would cancel it after the rain started to let up.

Mestes - These were shot in raw and converted to jpeg for posting. I shot the airshow in shutter priority mode for jets at 1/1600 (probably overkill) with apertures between 7.1 and 8.0, ISO 160 and exposure comp. at -2/3 to -1 for pictures in blue sky and exp. comp. of 0 for pictures in cloudy conditions. Equipment used was 40d and the 300 f4.
