Change your dial over to P, TV, AV, etc. and it should be there. I don't have a D30, so I'm just tossing the most logical idea.

Saw that. ;)
We get that quite often from members with problems and then they discovered they really didn't check the other modes. The menus change significantly between the two different modes. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Just for grins I pulled out the 10D to check. And in the preset modes (with the pictures on the dial) the parameters menu option disappears. In the P, TV, AV, M modes the menu option is available.

You need to first set that up with the software that came with the D30. If that hasn't been done, you won't see the custom parameter setting in the menu. See the D30 manual, page 56.

Interesting. Good to know that for future reference. Thanks Pac.

Hello xdjoynerx,
The EOS D30 software manual on page 8 has info "Connecting the camera to a computer"
Also on page 91 is info "Setting the Parameters" I hope this will help and you can find the cable, that was the toughest part for me. Trying to remember where I put the box the camera came in. Good luck.
Jim.
