Hello all and in particular Mitch!
That technique you posted about how to get rid of haze is INCREDIBLE! It came in handy for the shots I took on my weekend trip to the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion Natl Park. THank you thank you thank you!
First some background info: I turned 25 on Saturday (YAY ME!) and my angel of a boyfriend took me to on a road trip to the Grand Staircase (i.e. the 3 Natl Parks).
Bryce was my favorite but unfortunately it started raining soon after dawn, so I missed many opportunities for crimson, sun-drenched shots.
However, there was one instance when the grumbly, moody sky actually benefitted me. We drove up to the arch viewpoint and as I pointed my camera at this marvel of nature, a shaft of sunlight lit it up. So while the sky raged all around us, this arch stood out beautifully. Tell me if you agree and whether you'd change anything.
