I am running XP. All of a sudden I can't move icons on desktop and can't open an image in CS2 or CS3. Both problems appeared simultaneously. Any help would be appreciated.

or make sure no one is playing a trick on you. I've done that before, I took a screen shot of my friends desktop with all his icon, then I put everything in a folder somewhere and put the new background picture with his icon in it. So he would try to open his stuff and the icons didn't work. it's because they where not there, it was just a picture of them.

I wrote a program (hta, an html subset) back about 3 years ago at work. I loaded it in everybody's start menu and used it to launch apps and images. The favorite of the bag-o-tricks from that was a screenshot image full-screen. The cool part is that the image was on top (in a browser page at full screen with no buttons or header of any kins) and disallowed input. People would sit there forever before freaking out wondering what their computer was up to.

The second best was the animated gif launch of the defrag routine. ;)

That annoyed the crap out of people!
