Well bummer, we had a ski trip planned for this week but it fell through. I was planning on skiing one day only, and spend the rest of the week taking pictures with my 20D. I was really looking forward to it, I wanted to get some shots with something other than a teenie little point & shoot like I have always had in the past. Anyway, I got out one of my favorite mtn shots that I took with a little Casio last summer and photoshopped it to death. I think it's not too bad considering the source. This is Gothic Mountain a few miles north of Crested Butte, CO last July (I bet there's a few feet of snow there now):

Very nice, despite a little soft. A shorter-FL lens would produce a better scene IMHO.

Nice shot, beautiful country. I plan to be there again in July for the wildflowers, have never been there in winter.

It is a beautiful place, I was fortunate enough to be able to make the trip 3 times this year, so I guess I should stop whining about the ski trip. Here's another shot of Gothic, not bad for a camera smaller than a deck of cards but maybe you can see why I want to get back up there with my 20D:

I just remembered I am on the Canon forum, so to make it legal here's a shot of Crested Butte from the north that I took earlier in the year with my old Canon Powershot S10:
