I usually use CS to process all of my photos, but I just discovered that I get less noise when I transfer the photos from Canon's Digital Photo Pro. There is a huge difference at higher ISOs with the 20D. Funny, but I already thought that the photos were lower in noise anyway. I can't believe that they can be cleaner yet. Man will this increase my time spent on the computer...Dean

Is this true? I always heard from this forum NOT to use Canon's DPP due to some conversion problems. I have been using Photoshop CS's RAW utility because I wanted to avoid DPP. Someone please let me know if what Dean said is true! Which is better to use for quality raw conversions--CS or Canon's DPP, or is there something else still?? Thanks.

I just downloaded the latest 2.4 raw, from adobe and it gives about the same (IMO) performance with noise. Better than the 2.3 raw version. I think its about the same as DPP, at least on my 20d files.

Aesome, I will have to download it. While I like that there is less noise with the Canon software, the software is slow and then you have to convert it...Dean
