I think it looks really good. Was tempted to "shoot the moon" last evening, but was too lazy to go out.

Thanks Stan :)
This shot was harder than I thought it would be. I think it turned out not bad.

You've got a very good picture.
Full moon is not easy to shot.
I think you can get may be some improvement by
sharpening ( USM) a little bit and playing a little bit
with levels or curves.

Jose

Have lots of moon shots with the 100-400 but non is a quarter as good as this. very nice.

Did you apply USM to it.

Thanks Jose and aam :D

I used a technique I found on Luminous Landscape called Local Contrast Enhancment, wich utilizes USM. I think it works pretty good.

Niceness, It looks much like my attempt at it also.

had to check my favorites, but that is the site that I found on this board. I had to search for it, because I couldn't get the right settings.

Very nice moon shot. I have a few good ones, but mine have a little more noise in them.

Well Dave you've certainly set a high standard for yourself in the first moon attempt. Very nice job. :)

I don't know if I will do as well . . . but you have given me hope to try this. I really like this forum and what one can learn, how you can challenge yourself with the fine work of others. Thank you.

Dave!

That moon photo is awesome! My boyfriend was commenting on the mark the meteors have left and how you can see the impact lines accross a vast distance! Absolutely terrific!

Are you sure you haven't done this before? ;)
