Okay, so the original idea was TTD, but we didn't get to the trashing, so it's more fashion bridals..

I am not thrilled with how they came out. They don't have the spark I was looking for. I am nowhere near done editing, but I just pulled a few to show some variety.

This is one of my favorites. I like it overall. It could use a little something, but I can't put my finger on it yet. I think it could be a little sharper. But it's pretty good. I like the glamour of it.

I like this one a lot.. I love the idea of it. She thought of it, and we have a few in this 'series' but I just picked this one. Clarity leaves a little something to be desired. :( I was having some exposure issues. Sigh. And though it may look like it, I did nothing to the whites of her eyes.. it's just how they came out.

Before anyone says it. The horizon looks tilted, yes, but that was just how it was... The sharp edges of the concrete structure are straight up and down. I checked. This is another case of I like it, I don't love it. I think she looks fabulous, but it just lacks a crispness. It was about two seconds before sundown, and my lil' XTI was not a happy camper. I was using all natural light.

Great smile. Took this with the 50mm, all of the others with the 28-105mm. I like this picture pretty much. No real complaints.

This is one of my faves, actually. I got chewed up about the horizon making a line through her head, and about the position of her arms... but this is a case of I don't really care if I am breaking the "rules" as I LIKE the image, and I find it artsy, and everybody has their own opinions about art. This was with the 50mm as well.

Anyhow.. I have been doing some slight experimenting with off camera flash and I feel like once I get that right my images will have more of the oomph that I am looking for...

I appreciate any specific technical advice here. I already pretty much know what I did wrong, but I will take outside input.. Please don't be of the mind that I think they're perfect, because I know they're not.. but I'm working on it. Wedding dresses are finicky. So are women wearing them. :P (She was fun though)

I think they are all fantastic. People can say what they want about the last one, but it's still a great picture.

Aww thanks, that makes me happy to know I am not the only one. My hubby loves them too but lol, he has to say that, right :)

Nice series overall, you have some nice poses, nice locations, and a variety of images/

1. Cool location, like the lighting, like the looseness of the framing.
2. the whites have a blue tint, very evident in her dress and veil. I like the idea, but the expression leaves her looking bored.
3. there are halos around her and the wooden structure, is this from PP'ing?
4 & 5 look great

Lunajen, I may agree the top one is still a bit warm, I will work on cooling it down some. #3 is a concrete structure.. not a wood one.. :)

Dorman.. I don't see the haloing but I think it's time to recalibrate so I'll have to check, I did burn the sky a little bit but only at like 25% so I'll have to double check the edges on that one.

Thanks for the comments!

That is probably what I'm seeing, it looks like it was burnt with a fairly large brush which didn't come too too close to her.

I really like the expression and composure of number 2.

The third one I feel most distracting to bad that wall is behind her.

Well I understand some people may not care for the background on #3 but I am going to chalk it up to personal preference :P I like it. Here are two more:

You have to agree the wall works here:

I think they're great. Don't bang yourself up over pretty good photos.

They look wonderful. Don't be too hard on yourself.
I should follow my own advice, though :(

As long as the bride is happy!

Great stuff! Can you try a crop on the one where she is leaning against the wall? Last posted? I would like to see it cropped right in against the line of concrete.

The first picture has a kind of awkward pose. She does not look comfortable and the picture is way to warm.

The second picture doesn't do anything for me...she looks bored. What is the purpose of this....has she left the church and is having 2nd thoughts on the old broken down porch??

The contrast on the last image is off...the least you could have done was edit the photo.

#2 is awesome, but I'd love to see it processed a bit more! Just my .02

number 2 is great. a little WB issue but overall, that one is my fav of the bunch. Her "bored" expression as somebody else put it is just one of the things that makes it the great shot that it is. Also, I like the last one of the first set you put up. The line through her head doesn't bother me.
