Some more shots from the hockey rink tonight.

90% of them were taken from the rink level, right behind the goal. Some of them were shot from above.
70-200L
ISO 800
f/4

I think you did a great job stopping the action. Great angles, and great saturation.

One question, did you use noiseninja or something of the sort for the noise? IT seems like all of your detail is lost in some sort of post processing

Yea I used noiseware which is why they look like they do.

I think hockey is stoopid, but I'll comment from a photographic perspective:

1 - good

2 - seems the focus should be on the guy in the front, or rearranged.

3 - obviously the smudge at the bottom needs to be gone...

4 - good

5 - the stick on the lower left needs to be gone...

6 - maybe the best one

7 - good, but the stuff bottom right is a little distracting. Sure it couldn't be helped

8 - good

Maybe it's my monitor at work (home one is callibrated) but the contrast seems a bit much; they're really dark in some areas. what body was this with? Suprised you got noise @iso800.

Also kind of suprised the f4 stopped the action; i wonder if there were many throw-aways due to blurr(?).

also can't see the pics, but right off am impressed that you have enough light to shoot ISO800 at f4. I'm at 1600/f2.8 or f2 - envy you that.

I think spelling "stupid" as "stoopid" isn't so bright. More Hockey (http://morehockeylesswar.org/).
