A few pics of the wife, where she should be - cooking in the kitchen. (j/k) Please tell me which one you like best:

Have you thought about putting it in photoshop and then doing a lens blur on the background . My eyes are wondering around. From the aluminum Pan, I guess with a turkey to the open covered door. If you blur out the background, I think it would have more punch.

I think she is gorgeous, and number 1 is my favorite.

I think 2, but maybe say something to make her laugh. A really natural belly laugh that will make the eyes sparkle :)

Thanks for the comments guys, keep them coming!

Oviv, Interesting you chose that, I also think that is the best one. I love the expression.

mr. photoguy, I agree about the background... this was a spur-of-the-moment candid on xmas day. I just noticed the interesting foreground of the pies and nice light from the window and said "Pose" and she did.

I like #2.

#1 seems to "fashion in the kitchen" and #3 doesn't seem as lighthearted as #2.

you can do a lens blur of the background, it takes some time, but you have to select all around her and the outer edes and then click filter >blur > lens blur. Then you choose the amount that you need.
This is in adobe CS.

I want to see one of you cooking, posted by your wife :p

I can't pick, I liked them all in their own way, but if I was forced would probably go for #1

Love them all. What treasures! Be sure to print them and put them in the family album. Some day she will treasure them too, even if she might be annoyed with you now (esp for the comment above).

I like the pie in the middle most - looks really tasty! Oh sorry, you meant which picture! :D

I'd say number 2 looks best because of her facial expression and the way she's holding her head, but it's a shame the cupboard door behind her wasn't closed. Number 3 is OK too, but her left arm looks awkwardly placed. In number 1 you get distracted by the clutter in the background.

I like #2.

The Hostess/Cook with the remains of a successful Holiday meal, looking a little tired but with that content expression that says "I just fed the entire family, and everything came out perfect!"

I know this lady

#2 for me,

Natural and relaxed.

Obviously you don't overuse her as a model, she does not have the "Oh geez, not again" look!

number one

the mess behind is perfect
that's what the picture is all about

if that goes, it's your ordinary everyday picture
