This wedding was from last friday. He was 6ft 9. They were great. She was so expressive. They were both so easy to work with. Anyway here are a few. I was asked by this forum and another to work on capturing atmosphere as previous weddings were basically portraits.

Here are a selection from the wedding: My favorite 70 slideshow (http://www.unicoweddings.com/gallery/Heather&Colin_Bestof.php) or Gallery (http://www.unicoweddings.com/gallery/Heather_Colin_Bestof/HTML/)

It's so hard choosing 8 pictures! My favorite 70 slideshow (http://www.unicoweddings.com/gallery/Heather&Colin_Bestof.php) or Gallery (http://www.unicoweddings.com/gallery/Heather_Colin_Bestof/HTML/)

She must be pretty tall as well, if he's 6'9". My husband is 6'8" and the top of my head only goes to this armpit. Then again, I'm fairly short.

Nice series, by the way. :)

You did quite a good job there. Especially seeing the height difference can throw off the proportion of your photos.

I didn't look at the slideshow, however if the main improvement you were trying to make was to capture more emotion, more atmosphere, and just more "moments" from the day I think you did really well - based on these 8 images I'm sure the couple will love them. Wow he is tall!

Thank you all for your comments so far. The height didn't pose a huge problem. In pic 2 he stood a couple of steps lower than the bride. The bride wore high heels. Also most of the family were at least 6ft 5, so as a crowd things looked proportional.

In pic 8 the bride stood straight and he lent over the railing, making the heights more equal.

Just got a lovely email and text message from the bride the a couple of days after.

"Hi there Simeon,

Thank you so so much for doing the photographs at our wedding!

I just wanted you know how much you impressed our guests! Quite a number of them came to me specifically to comment on your enthusiasm and friendly manner and how easily you chatted with them while taking pictures. Also, that you seemed to be everywhere all at once!.

Looking forward to seeing the photo's!!!

Heather"

Then I showed her the pictures
"The Photos are amazing! I've never seen wedding pictures like that before! I've shown lots of people at the (a very productive day...) 2 people have asked for your contact details. Will call soon, but just want to say how great they were"

It just makes it all so worthwhile! A boost to my confidence. :-)

Thanks you. I am really trying to push myself.

This was my first all prime wedding. I shot with them with my 85L 1.2 and I hired a 35L for the first time. It was well worth it. The 35L took some getting used to. I had to work up close and personal. It kept me fit.
