hi heres some more from saturday :D
the skimmer and 4 spot had just emerged
all uncropped except the brown argus

Sigma 150 Macro must be giving nice working distance, how do compare it with Sigma 105 macro?

The reason that I got the 150 was the increased working distance over the 105 for shy subjects and it does make things easier
One added bonus is that the 150 seems to make it easier to get nice out of focus backgrounds
The 150 does need to be used with a tripod though, the 105 can be easily hand held
I,m not sure what the exact distance I never remember things like that but I was probably 3 feet from the dragonfly

Wow! Thanks for the info. I just can't imagine being less then a few inches away lol. With my lens I have to be kissing the insects. But hopefully I will get a better lens soon.

Excellent set Pete, especially the 2 butterfly shots. Good, nice, even lighting.
