Just a shot of me and my wife messing around w/ my remote I picked up at xmas.. my family knows how to take care of an aspiring photographer. I got another 1GB CF card, monopod, Lowepro Microtrekker bag, spare bp-11 and the remote for xmas. Now I just need an L.. :-D

I got the Canon RC-1 infrared remoted.. You can pick it up at b+h for about $25 and it's well worth it.

And do you have a battery grip on your Rebel? Does it fit in your microtrekker bag fine? I had an issue with the 10D plus grip fitting in micro bags, so I had to get an ugly tamrac bag.

This is the description from B+H website at the bottom of this post. I'm guessing it might. It should tell you for sure in your manual that came w/ your camera in the accessories section. And no grip yet.. I'm think it might fit though if I redo the velcro parts in a different orientation than it came. I'll find out when I get in next month.. I need to grab a 50mm 1.8 first.
This is a miniature infrared transmitter, handy for taking pictures of subjects that are difficult to approach, or to minimize vibration for close-ups and time exposure. It operates at ranges up to 16.4 ft./5m, and may be set for either instant shutter release or 2-sec. delay. It may also be used to activate mirror lock and bulb shutter function.
For EOS 10s, Elan/II/IIE & 7/E, Rebel K2, Ti & T2, Digital Rebel and IX series cameras.
