Because of the physical problem of shot knees, I want the flip-and-twist feature. So it's pretty well come down to either the S5IS or the A650IS. Locally there's only about a $50 price spread between them.
Which would you recommend most strongly? (The better digital zoom of the S5IS isn't too important for my photography.)
Few local sellers handle the A650IS, too. And I can't figure out why. One salesman even maintained that production has been stopped on it. I know there was a problem with some light leakage, but supposedly that was on some US cameras.
And lastly, does anyone have a good guess as to when either of these cameras will be replaced by the newer model? Maybe I should wait? The old A520 still works pretty well, even if my knees don't...
