Big Bird...not the yellow one

So the day I got my 20d I stopped by the local park figureing to take some usually duck and kids playing pictures. Just wanted to play and get a feel for my new camera, but found this big bird and snapped off a few. I'm very open so you won't hurt my feelings, just the best one from that day.

Nice capture of a Heron - just a pity that you cropped the legs also, have a look at the levels in Photoshop (or whatever program you use for post-processing) as the contrast/colour of the overall picture looks to be a little low. It could also do with a little bit of a "Catch light" (highlight) in its eye. You might also like to try cropping the image into a portrait shot to remove some of the empty space at either side of the heron. There looks to be some good feather detail...keep clicking
