I doubt it, considering that the S5 IS came out over a year ago and replaced the S3 IS. You might find one at KEH.com or eBay.

Just to clarify, Amazon.com is not the actual seller, it's third-party vendors selling through Amazon.com Marketplace. Depending on the third-party seller's reputation and feedback, this can be a huge difference.

I realize that. It says that on the site. I didn't think I needed to be specific...because once you see the S3 IS..it's kind of obivious.

Very true! Just in case you don't believe what she has to say, consider that it has gone "UP" in price in the last year!
I really believe time will end up extolling the "S" series line of cameras as a milestone in "Cameras", not in the sense of being the best there was at the time (not a DSLR/wasn't meant to be) but more like a conglomeration of what everyone wanted in a camera that Canon made by incorporating so many features in a package that reflected what everyone wanted to do with a camera.
So, what SimpleGirl2008 has said is correct, if you have seen it/talked about it/wanted it/ observed it's track record, then you absolutely can identify with it.
Me, I have feelers out all the time for one, however I do draw the line at paying some of the ridiculous prices individuals/companies are asking.
Hope: Canon realizes exactly what it has created and continues it in the area that it was designed for. It has definitely been a "cash cow" for them and I just have a hard time seeing them stopping the S line, it just doesn't seem rational, but hey, it's there company!

S3/S5....same thing to me one has a hot shoe the other doesn't one has more bells and whistles, the other doesn't really to me same camera. I just went with the newer model which is the S5.
My fiance is picking up a S3 if he can get his hands on one before they are all gone, if not, he'll get the S5 like I have. Also, he prefers the S3 over the S5, based on the fact that he doesn't need the "extra" bells and whistles, going on that factor along.

It seems you can still buy the S3 but the price is almost the same as the S5, so why buy it? I never looked into it when I bought my S5 but the they seem very similar except for sensor- larger megapixel and flash hot shoe

I didn't look into the S3 either when I bought my S5. I figured, go with the newer one, that has a little bit more stuff on it.
