Saturday, June 7, 2008 was the Kentucky State Special Olympics and I was fortunate enough to be asked to be a part of it. I had a blast!
Next year, my son will be participating in some events, tho probably not T&F.

What lens was used? Some of the shots could have benefited a little more from a bit larger aperture to help with subject isolation, but not a bad first go at it.

I used my 75-300. Opened up as much as it would go and still focus. I considered changing out to my 18-55 IS but was afraid I'd miss some distance shots as the photographers who were covering that area all kept migrating to the finish line where I was! LOL!
These are all SOOC too...no sharpening (obvious I know ;)) I HATE PP'ing.

They are beautiful. Look at all the smiles and the winning spirit you've captured. You are blessed to be a part of this. Great job!

The photos are good and the subjects are beautiful. I can just feel their pride and sense of accomplishment.

Technically, they aren't perfect. Simple as that.
But, in terms of capturing a moment, they are priceless.
You were there, you took the shots. That's all that matters ...
[love the caption on the t-shirt in the first photo :)]
cheers,
