Hi Everyone.
My first post on this forum.

Does anyone have any export issues with Aperture 2.1. It's seems to export jpgs with meta at 72dpi, despite having 300dpi in the DPI box. If no metadata is included (ie the box not ticked) it will export at 300dpi.

I have tried this with Nikon D3 files where this issue doesn't happen. So it does seem to be canon camera. I spoke to a photographers last night with a 1dMK111, he claims he didn't have the problem, but I don't think he was including meta data, as I still had the same issue with his mk111 RAW files.

I don't see the checkbox - where is it located?

Just below Image format, in the export presets part.

Aperture>presets>image export

Hmm, not sure about that. Had not seen it before. Is there a reason you need one or the other?

I basically need to caption my images and export (ftp) out to my agency as quick as possible. Some people may not need to include captions or wish to remove all meta data.
My Current work round is export with no meta data, then caption in iView Media pro, then send to ftp. I could do all this in Aperture, even ftp within the program.

I'm just want to know If others have the same problem, and if they've managed to overcome it.

I think you ought to send Apple a message:

Thanks for that tony. I have sent them a message. Some people seem to get the problem and others don't. Seems Nikon users don't. I think I'll just have to wait for a fix from apple.

I have an issue w/ mine as well. If i want to export an image cropped at 4x6" at 300 dpi I'll get an image that's 1800x1199 pixels. Annoying much? Yup.
