Slide Scanning Services in NE Ohio???

I am looking for slide scanning services in NE ohio... Cleveland area and surrounding. Trying to get my dads slides scanned for him and he REFUSES to send them in the mail anywhere.... Im having a hard time locating a place being Im in Virginia! :)

Have you thought about scanning the slides yourself? Here are some scanners from Costco:

I would also suggest you having a go yourself. There are some very good low-cost scanners available.

I don't know whether the "Veho" scanner is available in the US, but I purchased one a few months ago to convert a couple of boxes of my old slides - and it did a pretty good job.

Also, if you are "doing it yourself" - some slides/negs don't scan perfectly first time, it maybe needs a shorter/longer scan to get it right - which you can do if you are doing it yourself.

Try it - it gets quite addictive! (or is that just me! :rolleyes:)

I was about to offer up to scan them for him, but that'd require mailing them... The offer stands if he changes his mind, I've been disabled since January, I could use a project to keep me occupied! :)
