Is there such thing as an eye piece extension that would make taking low-to-the-ground shots a little less difficult? IE if I wanted to take a shot down a long path put didnt want to lay completely out on the ground to see what was going on in the eyepiece? I would think it could almost be home made using thin pvc pipe and carefully placed mirrors...

any ideas?

Well, you could always make one using thin pvc pipe and carefully placed mirrors.

Actually, I'm right there with you. I'm very experienced with building all kinds of light modifiers, tabletop light boxes, background holders, etc., etc., as well as sprinkler systems. But I'm afraid that building an angle C finder would be beyond my level of expertise.

I have the Canon Angle Finder C and its great for those low to the ground shots! Its a little expensive, but I havent seen any cheaper ones that match the quality. It also gives you two levels of magnification to ensure good tight focus.
