picture styles

hi i am off to motogp next week have most things sorted now after trip there the other week for what settings to use. Having looked at various pics by others for bike racing some of the clours were fantastic. Now has this been done in post processing or do some of you customise pic styles and if so what do you you do. I just used standard style while shooting in shutter priority mode and jpeg as using 4g flash card . I try to get the best pic i can in camera first so any tips will be much appreciated.
