Thanks for the comments. I was actually hoping to be able to see their faces a little better, but hey...

Do you think its interesting enough with the shot being from the back, or should I really always try to get some facial expression for photos like this?

Good shot. I have a question, do you get looks or feel it difficult to have your camera with that huge lens in the mall?? Just curious.

Definately... I am just really careful to not track someone with the lense. If I set it on the tripod, and appear to ignore individual people, then its fine.

Doing it this way makes it alot harder though, because you have to be constantly aware of who is moving into your target range, and grab the shots quick while they are directly infront of the lense.... as soon as you move the lense to follow someone, then you get dirty looks. I think when your just there holding the lense in one position regardless of who walks infront of you, they just think your taking general crowd shots :D

That's a good question. For some reason I like shots from the back (like this one). It makes you wonder what they are thinking, where they are going...etc. In other words it tells a good story.

Poke, that's usually what I do as well. but I've never been brave enough to actually take my camera in a mall... a lot of times I'll have my kiids playing at the park, pretend to be taking a shot of them, and next thing I'll take a quick papparazzi of someone. I just LOVE candids!! Capturing life, that's what it's all about Yo

Nice capture and edit in PS.

I was in my local mall for 2min with camera, when 2 security guards came up and told me not to take pics. I've since moved to a new location at my work, and the mall company now bank with us, and now know all the security guards as they hold the cash as they bring it into the bank. I'm sure I could retry some photos, and they wouldn't mind. :)
