I believe I saw a reference here about digital rebels with an all-black body?
Is there such a critter? And if so what is the trick to finding them?

I just bought a black body DRebel on boxing day, the last one in the city in fact. Supposedly they are much tougher to get you're hands on compared to the silver/grey body.
I must say though it looks 100x better in a black body.
Go for it!

Once you go black, you'll never go back...
(sorry, I just HAD to say that!)

I got my black rebel from ritz online a few weeks back, but it was a bit more expensive than the silver body from B&H.
They were offering $100 "in-store" credit at the time, too, along with the normal canon rebate. I say "in-store" only because you can only use it at their online stores, or their online affiliates.
I was able to get a manfrotto monopod and head, and a cheap quantaray polarizer with the credit.

oh, reguarding my purchase of the rebel from ritz.
B&H didn't have it when I ordered mine, but now they do for $100 less than ritz.
so I would've gone with b&h if they had in stock, kept the extra $100 or found something in b&h's better inventory (over ritz)
