Well, the girl is fairly attractive. Might be really attractive. However, I think we need more evidence before we can make a final decision. How about posting some more, or if you need to, go and take some more and then come share them. :)
Seriously, she is lovely but she looks a bit bored or annoyed here. Can you catch her when she's a bit fresher.

Paul is a real estate novelist. Who never had time for a wife....
What the heck is a real estate novelist, or have I totally butchered that line? Is it someone who writes those things like "cozy 2 bedroom bungalow, perfect for newlyweds or empty nesters, tucked onto a generous wooded lot with mature hardwoods and ample magnolias"?
mikesd

Nope youve got it right Charles, a real estate novelist it is.

Billy Joel doesn't have to make sense.
Tell the girl how many people want her to pose for you. May be better than your other lines.

hello everyone,
Thank you for your comments and reaction to my photo of Julie. As requested by charlesu I am posting a few others. How can I refused charlesu with all the lovely ladies he has brought us.
The photos were taken quickly between beers in low light with a digital rebel and a 420 EX flash.

LOL Well if that is the case, here's your next assignment. Go back and recruit this lovely young woman to come and do some more posing for you. This time, hold the beer until closer to the end. And....see if you can catch her when she's not having to work.
If you land another shoot with her, you get 1000 points. If she will do nudes you get double bonus points!!

I can't see how anyone would think that girl is grotesque. She's not made up and she's shot on the spot with on camera flash. Surely not a very flattering situation. Either way, I thought she was lovely and am glad she was posted.

hello everyone,
I want to thank you all for your comments. I think charlesu kind of summed up how things were in his last post. Here is a last photo to wrap up this affair. It was shot with the built in flash on the digital rebel. It is what it is and again I thank you all for the useful comments.

Back to the Billy Joel thing.
Paul is a realestate broker who claimed to be working on a book. He hung out at the "Executive Room", a bar in LA where Billy Joel "aka Bill Martin" was playing every night to pay the bills. It was inspired by his experiences at the bar.

so what does the blond pretty barmaid have to do with Billy Joel?, I kinda lost track. I like Billy Joel's music, he's a good singer and pianist (you're probably wondering what the heck is a kid like me doing listening to Billy Joel's music... well, I kind of stumbled upon him :p).

Start at post 4 for explanation.
Kid?....my son is now 18 and can play all the old Zepplin, Floyd, Skynnard, ect....His music taste changed as soon as he picked up a Guitar!....for the better I might add.

Either you're missing something, I'm missing something (like a few screws) or we're both missing something.
Since when is it a crime to take, or post, what you term a snapshot? Everybody has to start somewhere. Not everybody has studio lights, MUA, etc.

I agree totally. There needs to be recognition given when 'snapshots' turn out well. Discussions about what makes them good and how to possibly make them better are all within bounds. Of course I have a bias on this subject. Snapshots are all I shoot.

If it's a snapshot without a MUA, studio lights, reflectors, etc, then all I shoot is snapshots.
Wow - would be interesting to dig out some of the photos I was taking when this thread was started. I'd also be interested to see some new photos from the OP.
