This site was once the largest mental asylums in Europe housing over 3100 mentaly ill people untill it closed in the late 1980s. This places is getting demolished in 2010 to make way for new houses.

Wow, this is really awesome!! Such a shame they'll take it down =( I really like the first hallway picture, as well as the one with the cash register (?) and the very last one. Great shots.

Love the last 2! Very interesting shots! Love looking at stuff like this, even if it is a bit freaky :)
Think maybe on some try to make them more dramatic, high contrast etc...just an idea:)

Fantastic documentry. The pictures reflect the government's attitudes to mental health since the documentary. I don't see the warmth of feeling I saw in the documentary though.
Just my thoughts. Good pics though.

The last one looked really familiar, then i remebered i had seen it ages ago Here (http://www.guerillaphotography.fotopic.net/p29660442.html), look how much it has changed. Brilliant location with a very tainted history from what i remember. was it quite scary walking round? looks like it has a strange atmosphere .
Good work .
