Bare in mind that I've had this camera for no more than a day now, and I really can't use the camera in the way it should be threated. I know this camera (Powershot S1 IS) has a lot more to give than what these pictures will show, so therefor any comment and opinion is welcome. I'm not satisfied with any of these pictures, but then again I shouldn't be. I know I can get a lot more out of them.

If you know of some decent sites with good tutorials for digital photographing, please be so kind and direct me to them :)

I like this one, but for some reason I think you should have rotated the camera the to show the vertical. My eyes follow the bridge across (good leading element), but my eyes want to go up to se the rest of the tree.

Most of your images are slightly under exposed if you are using PhotoShop (or similar) then check the levels and adjust them to make the white's, white. Also, you would be better off just posting one or two images for people to critic. The bridge is posibly the best one in my view but certainly needs some post processing to give it more interest.

Thank you.

As said, I'm new to the world of photographing, and eventhough I have visions of how I want my pictures to turn out, I can not yet fulfill them. I'll fiddle around with photoshop for a while, see what I come up with.

I'll memorize the tip of posting only a few pictures ;)

Check this section of the forum out - there are some good basic tutorials which might help get you started.

These will also help - try a search for books on basic photography too.

Are you really new to photography?

Most young photographers would not "see" these shots. You are definitely on the right track. Keep it up!

Well, depends on how you take it. I've always enjoyed just looking at great shots, and nice cameras have always fascinated me. I've never really picked photographing up as a hobby though, untill now.

I did have a digital camera before this, an old 1.3 MP Olympus, but I mostly used it to take pictures for memories...

Here's the best shot I ever got with that camera :)

Now that I bought this camera, I'm definitely going to look deeper in to the world of photographing.

Thanks!

Yeah so I hear, I thought it's a good thing that I spent my money before registering on the forum but apparently not ;)

I believe I'm tough enough, though. :D
