These are 2 shots that i took at Edinburgh zoo. The first is the red panda , ive tried taking photos of this chap many times without sucess as it would never stay still long enough. The second being the meerkat, which is always fun to watch.
Canon 300d with canon 75-300 lens.

i love the way the panda's head seems to jump out at you.i never seen a red panda before. great shot

The panda shot looks great, I have a few i took at chester zoo. They are very difficult to capture as they are either shuffling round or asleep at the top of a tree.
Out of interest ,what was focal length for the panda shot?
I find my 75-300 Is goes soft beyond 200 :(

Glad to see the panda. All previous ones were hiding or sleeping in the branches of a tree. They are normally quite timid.

Im glad you liked the shot , im really guessing about the focal length but it would have been at least 200 for me to fill the frame.
