Hi there,
I'm trying to connect my G1 to my new iMac (MacOs X 10.2.1) via USB, but it won't recognize the camera.
A visit to the Canon site said, the driver should be already build in MacOS X.
Does anyone has the same problem but solved ?
Greetings

I don't have 10.2 so this is a shot in the dark. Do you have Image Capture as an application? In 10.1 (which I have) it is sometimes necessary to go to Image Capture to set your preferences for downloading. iPhoto as the most obvious choice. My guess is that your preferences are not set to download from iPhoto or Image capture. G1 should be preloaded as you were told.

I am having the same problem. I am using an old 266 iMac with 10.2. Image Capture is set to launch iPhoto, but both Image Capture and iPhoto say that no camera is connected. I am using the same camera and USB cable that I used successfully under 9.2 with the Canon software.
Anybody have any suggestions?

I just installed the new 10.2.3 OS X update and my G1 now connects as it is supposed to.
This is a free upgrade. Just run Software Update.

I'm using an imac and connecting a G1 with no problem. I connect using a serial cable from the keyboard. If you are using a USB try plugging that cable directly into the imac and not the keyboard then launch image capture. Hopefully this will work.
Please let me know if you resolve this, I'll be more than happy to try to help you solve this.
