G2 versus 45s???

hi.....

i wanna swap my G2 for the new powershot 45s.....does anyone know how they compare for quality/ease of use??? and how much? i hear the lens isnt quite as good as the G2........

I dont think you can compare those two, they are different category.

G2 would probably eat 45 for breakfast.

It was your question that prompted me to get involved here.

In all honesty the G2 does have the edge on the S40/45 in certain features. They are well documented elsewhere in this forum.

I use an S40 for its convenience and ruggedness. I know its limitations and its strengths. As a result I get the pictures I want. You won't go wrong either way - they are both great cameras. Believe me - in most cases you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between the pictures taken by these two cameras with the naked eye. In fact under certain conditions you may even find the S40's results more visually pleasing.
