A75 in movie mode

I have a Canon A75. This produces an AVI file in movie mode. The editor provided does not recognise this format! Have I missed something somewhere along the way? :cry:

No. All you can do with a movie from that camera is watch it unless you want to buy some other software. The movie capability is really intended more for digital note-taking than anything else.

Thanks Jon. I wonder why Canon included a video editing facility on the software they issue with the camera? Most odd.:confused:

I haven't done movies yet; so my question is, would the answer be the same also with a Canon S1 IS?
