Took these shots yesterday in Victoria, BC. The moon just came out from behind the building and then 7 mins later disappered behind the clouds.

All were shot in RAW.

Which one is your favourite?

Any suggestion to improve these shots will be appreciated. Thanks.

Shot 1: Original with Level adjustment, color adjustment and sharpning

I like the 3rd one...it has that Werewolf of London feel to it. The first one would be great if the moon was not so yellow and had that halo around it. The building is really sharp and comes through nice. Great shots!

the 3rd in color would be tops. i really like the moody feel of a partially obscured moon, and the wide feel of the shot.

the "perfect circle" in the first two is less interesting.

I think the 3rd is the best, though I would clone out the street lamp on the the far left of the building which I find slightly distracting. Would be nice to see how that one looked in colour.

I like the second if I had to pick one. The 1st and 3rd the moon is too "masked" - by a halow in the first and clouds in the 3rd.

I take a lot of shots of the moon myself and although I really like the building part, I am bothered by the lack of clear features on the moon and by its slightly hazy quality. If there are to be clouds near the moon, perhaps they should show up more and be the type of clouds that lend obvious drama to the shot. This opinion may be due to the fact that I am often unsatisfied with the clarity of lunar features I get - I sometimes don't get good infinity focus. With a photo like this I'd be tempted to use a photo editing program and layer in a separate moon photo that would give the photo the exact type of moon wanted.
