I was standing on a rock and photographing the sea mostly
glad to see the ship sail by, although it's slighty blurry http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/santa/icon_confused.gif
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/santa/icon_lol.gif (trying to keep the horizon straight is big problem)

nice, Marie
I like the wave in the foreground as well. Reminds me of someone's quote: "a ship in a harbour is safe, but that's not what ships are for"

Horizon doesn't look to bad to me, Overall I think it's a nice photo, love the way the wave is swirling around the rock, and the bigger wave coming in. :) :)

This is a great shot, Marie! I also struggle to keep the horizon straight, too. I usually end up fixing it in Photoshop...

Marie:
I love the ocean just the way you've captured it. There's nothing interesting about broad sandy beaches.....you need rocks to give them life.
Nice work.

Seems you were at the right place at the right time . . . I miss your view of the ocean. I am sorry that I don't know your equipment Marie, your work here looks good as per the others I have seen of yours.

I bet Ashley has no problems with the horizon when wearing her sunglasses Lonniehttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/santa/icon_lol.gif

WOW! Marie I love all the other photo's you posted I really like the close-up of the rock with the green streaks in it, think it was the third from the last one. Through the cave was neat also. Looks like you'll have to get the attachment for the wide angle on the new camera.  Oh when will the buying of camera equipment ever end?

Thanks for the additional photos Marie . . . I think that your G2 takes some fine shots. Being landlocked as I am, they all are a real treat. The only boats I see are 12' duck boats every now and then.

Sandy that wasn't a cave
you will hardly believe it but here it is showing that rock
I went right down to earthhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif with the camera
to try and show the boys sailing out at sea... through the arch
as well as the swell of water coming through
it looks like I am in a cave in the other pictures (and drowning )http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif
but this next picture is showing it from 'above'
and it looks pretty 'nothing'
well , you know what I mean
amazing how different it looks in the picture abovehttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif
beautiful rocks all around there
