This forum is a treasure trove of juicy information and the quality of the photography posted is often simply mindbending.
One thing I have found a tad frustrating, though, is that in quite a few instances the replies to photographer's image posts are complimentary and generous, however replies by the poster to questions asked by viewing members are less frequently addressed and often ignored.
What say you? We need to share our techniques and methods, because these images don't just appear by themselves.
Feel free to disagree, I had to get it off my chest. :)

I don't think there is much you can do about that. I know that I tend to comment on a picture and then consider it done. I just don't think people are likely to keep viewing the same picture again and again. A PM about a specific incident might be a good technique if you have a specific question, but I don't see the issue going away.
Discussion threads will keep people coming back, but picture sharing threads just don't have that pull.

I believe you're right. That's sort of a shame because very often the question has to do directly with a certain image or effect the photographer has achieved with that image.
Also, the person who asked the question would certainly return to read the photographer's answer as would viewers who'd never looked at the post.
Oh, well... :(

Although it is common that a picture thread includes a question from the OP. Such as why is my sky blown out etc. These generally grow as people offer ideas and check back to find out about progress. A lot of people get involved in these threads and they may last several days until a solution is found. I think it is more common that a person will post a question, several other members will post possible solutions and then you never hear another thing from the OP. This is far more frustrating for me.
I see no reason to check back on a thread where someone is sharing a picture of their dog.
