I shoot raw and PP with DPP. I get the Jpegs to look exactly like I want
when I print them on my HP 5100 printer (regular print paper not photo).
When I make prints at the Walmart do-it-yourself Kodak machine, it adds
processing and changes the hue and brightness levels. How can I get prints
made with no processing involved. I want the prints to be exactly what is
on the media, not what the printer thinks is correct. Can camera shops (Ritz etc.) print from the media with no processing? Any information would be
appreciated. I would just use the HP but it is a three color system which
struggles with some color tones. Should I invest in one of Canon's eight
color printers?

Printing labs will usually give you the option to order prints with "No Adjustments" checked. But even this way, I was having consistency problems from the best lab I could find locally (I have a slow connection, therefore uploading images was out of question for me).

I finally bought the 6-color dye ink HP Photosmart D7360 printer and the prints I'm getting on HP Premium Plus paper are the best and most consistent so far. Actually, as an amateur, I'm quite happy with their quality. The ink comes pretty expensive though, especially as I don't print frequently and so a considerable part of the ink gets used for scheduled nozzle cleaning.
