Botanical Garden-first b+w

I think this is my first post to this area of the forum

it was taken at a local garden

C and C welcome, I normally take pictures of cats, so I found it hard to capture the beauty of what I saw in front of me.

I like how dark the branch in the foreground is and how light the rest of the picture is, although I think this is probably not a technically correct picture

If I were to be in the same place again, what should I do differently

I like it as is. Im a big fan of trees and have to stop myself shooting them whenever im out as i already have hundreds of shots from all over the place . No technical critique from me . But a compliment is awlays good i think. Good shot , everything you like about it is prob the same here .

This is nice, but at least on my monitor it appears that a lot of the highlights have been really blown out. I'd suggest knocking down the exposure a bit to avoid this and preserve more details.
