Hello,
Want to ask What firmware are you guys having on the METZ 58 AF-1 C....
Mine was in V2.0...
The flash seem to be a bit weir when using ETTL....
It seem to be keep over exposure.......
I need to - 1/3 ev in oreder to keep the flash to not over exposure......
Also I am using Kodak PRO SLR/c.......
Is it not very good talking to each other.....
Thanks

AFAIK, the latest (and the only one so far) firmware update out for the 58AF-1C is v2. As for the FEC required for your camera, 1/3 Ev doesn't sound all that weird or unusual. Are you using a properly oriented gray card to determine how much the flash is over- or underexosing? If not, I think you'll find that as you start using the flash in many different types of situations, the FEC you may need to set to get the proper exposure will vary depending on the overall reflectivity or tone of the scene.

Regarding any incompatibility issues you may have or will have between the 58AF-1C and the PRO SLR/c, that does not surprise me one bit. My 58AF-1C works perfectly fine with my 30D but is a real disappointment for me when it is mated to my 1D series cameras. :(

Hi thanks for the reply,
I am just taking the picture and it make me feel that it was 1/3 ev over exposure...
Due to the place are all too bright and over bright which make the skin tone to become over exposure........
BTW.... Which 1D camera are you using....
Due to I am thinking to get a 1Ds MKII later this summer......
I don't like the 1Ds MKIII due to it is over kill for me.... or the pixels are way too dense.... for a 35mm Camera....
