Hi
This is for all those who are using Sony Clie PDAs which have a Compact Flash Slot for Wireless Adapters. Sony did not give access to the Compact Flash card slot by default and also does not give drivers to use that slot other than Wireless cards or other add-on card. They want you to use their Memory Stick Slot instead. http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_evil.gif

However you can use a Compact flash card as a 2nd "Memory Stick" in your Sony PDA with a 3rd Party Driver http://www.athenaamerica.com (http://www.athenaamerica.com/). It costs $27 and it works!.

I just got my Sony PDA yesterday (PEG-NX60) and after some time I suddenly realized that it had a Compact Flash Card slot. After a bit of research i found the above information. Once I put in the drivers, I put my CF card with pics taken from my D30 and it shows all the JPG pictures without any conversion!!!!. Good tool if you want to take it in the FEILD and preview it on the bigger and better LCD screen. Too bad that the inbuilt Picture viewer does not allow to change PATH of the pictures. It just shows all the pictures in the DCIM folder. But there are many 3rd party picture viewers and image editing software out there.

Apart from that you can store Tonnes of other stuff like MP3s, GPS MAPS, Games etc on the CF card.

I hope this info helps someone in this forum who has a CLIE PDA ......

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2005 IN ADVANCE!

Regards
LEO.

Is that a canon EOS camera post?? LOL, just messing with yaWell its not. But if you were as happy as me when you found out that you could use that to preview the pics taken from your EOS Digital camera and how good they look in the big screen then you would post it here too!!!!!!!

Enjoy!!!
